Arlington National Cemetery Has Trouble Tracking Reservations

Poor record-keeping is now the blame for problems tracking old reservations at Arlington National Cemetery.

Officials are struggling to determine who has reserved plots and if they're already in use, The Washington Post reported. The reservations were made under a system that ended in 1962.

One official said the cemetery has 3,500 reservations on file but there could be more. They have no idea how many of the reservations are still valid.

The cemetery was already dealing with problems regarding mis-marked graves.
