16-Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot in Southeast DC

A 16-year-old boy died Sunday after he was shot multiple times in Southeast D.C., police said

Police are investigating the death of MyAngelo Starnes, of southeast Washington, as a homicide.

Police responded about 8:15 p.m. after an electronic gunshot detection system alerted them to sounds of gunfire.

Starnes was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the entryway of an apartment on the 2500 block of Pomeroy Road, near Suitland Parkway. 

He was taken to MedStar Washington Hospital. Despite efforts to revive Starnes, he was pronounced dead about 9 p.m.
