14-Year-Old Girl Shot, Wounded in Southwest

Police looking for two men, Chevrolet Impala

Police are looking for two people in connection with the shooting and wounding of a 14-year-old girl early Sunday morning in Southwest Washington.

Authorities said the girl was shot in the leg below her knee in the unit block of P Street SW near Nationals Park at approximately 1:30 a.m. She was reported to be conscious and breathing and was taken to a local hospital.

Police have issued a lookout for a silver or black Chevrolet Impala. The description of the driver is not known, but police have also issued a lookout for a male passenger in the car who was wearing a blue hat and was armed with a handgun.
