Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on ... Redskins management?
Now that the Eagles have hired defensive line coach Jim Washburn away from the Titans, an obvious question arises: Would Philly be interested in adding Washington's biggest headache, Albert Haynesworth?
That's a theory being tossed around by CSNPhilly.com's Reuben Frank. But, really, could the Redskins possibly let their divisional rivals walk all over them again, considering what happened before last season when the Skins traded for Donovan McNabb?
You know, Washington fans wouldn't be surprised by anything these days.
Washburn was the Titans' defensive line coach during Haynesworth's salad days in Tennessee. And Frank believes the tutelage of Washburn helped, umm, shape Haynesworth into a superstar.
"Haynesworth has always spoke highly of Washburn, his position coach from his rookie year in 2002 through 2008, his final season with the Titans," Frank wrote. "In an interview several years ago with web site Titans Insider, Haynesworth it took him a while to get used to Washburn’s hard-nosed style when he was a rookie."
But once he did -- or perhaps once he saw the dollar signs he could make if he performed up to his ability -- Haynesworth started to dominate, according to Frank.

That's all well and good. But there are a few hurdles that would have to be cleared if the Eagles wanted to acquire Big Al, who just finished the second year of a seven-year, $100 million contract.
Most importantly, the Redskins would have to cut Haynesworth, because no trades can be made until a new CBA is put in place. So sorry Skins fans, those dreams of actual draft picks on Draft Day dancing in your heads won't be coming true anytime soon.
Of course, while the hiring of Washburn might make the Eagles ponder picking up Big Al for a Super Bowl run, the following video might make them ask a more serious question: "What the heck were we thinking?"
