Travelers through Time Square may have gotten more than they bargained for. A nude painting exhibit took over the tourist destination Friday.
Artist Andy Golub is the brainchild behind “Body Notes.” Golub said today’s exhibit was inspired by the Union Square sticky note project.
Two-hundred models participated in the well-attended exhibit. Audience members watched, took photos and talked to the models as they were being painted.
“Everybody is beautiful no matter what your size is. It is your inner beauty that really radiates out,” one of the participants said.
The audience’s reaction to the exhibition was mixed, but most people seemed to enjoy themselves.
Golub is planning another event for nude body painting on July 22 in Washington Square Park.
