Barbara Walters Announces ‘10 Most Fascinating People' For 2008

Veteran television journalist Barbara Walters has revealed some of the celebrities on her annual “10 Most Fascinating People” list, and she has selected a slew of film stars, television stars, an Olympic athlete and a controversial political radio personality to honor.

Walter’s 2008 list includes box office king Will Smith, “30 Rock” star and creator Tina Fey, “Tropic Thunder’s” most unrecognizable cast member Tom Cruise, teen sensation Miley Cyrus, “Frost/Nixon” actor Frank Langella, radio host Rush Limbaugh and eight-time Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps, a rep for Walters confirmed to Access Hollywood.

And who will top the list? Her choice will be revealed on December 4 on ABC at 10 PM EST.

Last year, the woman who gave the world, “Harry Potter,” J.K. Rowling, cast a spell over Walters and landed in the top spot.
