"Slumdog Millionaire" actress Freida Pinto, who played the grown-up version of the character Latika, may be exchanging her rupees for diamonds.
The sexy Indian-born actress is a top contender to wind up in the sights of Her Majesty's Secret Service in the next James Bond film, according to London's Sun newspaper.
Executive producer Barbara Broccoli is "eager for her to join the cast" after landing "Slumdog" director Danny Boyle for the project, the Sun reported.
A "source" told the Sun that Pinto first came to the attention of the Bond team when they were casting for the last 007 movie, "Quantum of Solace."
"She was so young at the time to have a part as a love interest for a secret agent," said the source. "But she has blossomed into a stunning young woman and would look perfect on Daniel Craig's arm."
Now that Pinto, 24, has become an A-lister since blowing up with "Millionaire" fame -- her debut role and the movie took eight Oscars -- she is a hot commodity. Director Woody Allen has already snagged her for his next movie.
