1789 Restaurant Hosts Obama, Merkel

President Obama gave Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel a bit of special attention last night, taking her out to a private dinner at 1789 Restaurant in Georgetown. Tonight, the two have a more buttoned-down affair at the State Dinner in the Rose Garden (it's the first time one has been held there). First Lady Michelle Obama will preview details about the dinner at the conclusion of an event this afternoon about the importance of women in diplomacy.
