U.S. House Office Administrators Scan for Heartbleed Intrusion

Emails obtained by the News4 I-Team show office administrators of the U.S House of Representatives are scanning their IT system to protect against the “Heartbleed” computer vulnerability.

So far, there's no evidence of any intrusion.

Meanwhile, the Congressional Federal Credit Union, a credit union for House staffers and families, is asking some of its 44,000 members to change their online banking passwords by next week.

A spokeswoman said that is unrelated to Heartbleed, but it is part of a safeguarding plan that began in January.
