Annapolis Tree Lighting Ceremony Is Saturday

Are you having a little trouble getting into the holiday spirit, considering Thanksgiving hasn't even happened yet? Fret not. Visit Annapolis for their town tree-lighting ceremony and jingle yourself right out of Grinch-ness.

Tree lightings are just as much holiday tradition as gross fruitcake and an aunt who leaves way too much lipstick when she kisses your cheek. The difference between those trads and this one? The tree-lighting won't send you running to the bathroom clawing at the side of your face.

There will be cookies, hot chocolate, music and, of course, the true beacon of the generic, non-denominational, festivus holiday: open shops.

So, if on Saturday, Nov. 23 around 6 p.m., you find yourself looking for something to do, join the folks of Annapolis at the Towne Centre to light their holiday tree. If all else fails, you can always mosey on down to a shop and buy yourself some holiday cheer and a decent meal.

Happy Almost-Holidays!
