The rain isn't as heavy as it was earlier this evening, and a a flash flood warning for part of Montgomery County and parts of Virginia has expired, but a flash flood watch remains in effect for much of the D.C. metro area until midnight.

Thursday's rain already has led to flooding in some areas as the storms that have developed have just sat.

Rain will continue until about midnight, and there could be a few more isolated showers in the region Friday, but most areas should remain on the dry side, Storm Team 4 Chief Meteorologist Doug Kammerer said.

Expect high temperatures in the mid-80s Friday.
