Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett's prediction for the large amount of new commuters this fall to Maryland: Traffic is about to go from bad to worse.
Leggett said the BRAC program will turn Wisconsin Avenue and Old Georgetown Road into a virtual parking lot.
He made the comments with Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chair Sharon Bulova this morning on WTOP radio.
Bulova said there's not enough funding to make road improvements before the increased traffic this fall.
That's when tens of thousands of workers will report to new military facilities in Maryland and Virginia under the BRAC plan.
