Woman Walks Across Country for 9/11 Trail

A woman who is walking and running cross-country to raise money and awareness for the Sept. 11th National Memorial Trail Alliance was greeted by well-wishers at the Pentagon in Northern Virginia on Tuesday.

Jan Walker started her seven month journey in May in Oceanside, California, and she'll finish at Ocean City, Maryland.

The 1,300 mile Memorial Trail is being created to honor the memory of those who perished on Sept. 11, 2001. It will link all three existing memorials in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, Arlington, Virginia, and New York City.

When Walker finishes her "Rise Up for the Fallen" run, she'll be one of the oldest women to have completed a solo transcontinental run.
