Two people were killed Saturday morning after a passenger vehicle was involved in a crash with a Department of Public Works dump truck along DC Route 295 near Pennsylvania Avenue.
Metropolitan police said the victims, two adults, were in the passenger vehicle. Another adult and a juvenile also in the vehicle were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition.
Police said the people in the dump truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The decedents have been identified as Edmond Crawford, 23, of Oxon Hill, Maryland and Ltonya Brown, 29, of Oxon Hill, Maryland.
The accident occurred around 9:25 a.m.
