Prince William County health officials say someone from Freedom High School in Woodbridge has a confirmed case of tuberculosis.

A letter from Principal Inez Bryant and county Health District Director Alison Ansher posted Thursday on the school's Web site does not say whether the ill person is a student, teacher or staff member. But the letter says the person is not currently at the school and is receiving treatment.

County health officials will screen people who spent the most time with the ill person and all students will be screened with a questionnaire about symptoms and risk of past exposure. Based on their answers, some will receive a skin test.
