A man who robbed a home in Fairfax may have sustained a gunshot wound in an altercation with a resident, authorities say.

Police are searching for that man and another who forced their way into a townhouse in the 3900 block of Bradwater Street in the Comstock community Sept. 10. The men implied they had weapons, took some items and and physically assaulted several of the occupants before one resident fired a handgun.

On Friday, police released a composite sketch of the suspect who may have sustained a gunshot wound to the left side of his body.

There is no sketch available for the second suspect.

The occupants of the home sustained minor injuries from the physical assault, but are expected to be OK.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Detective Shawn Sutherland at 703-385-7887 or Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Callers to Crime Solvers may remain anonymous.
