Roads Reopen Near White House After Suspicious Car Cleared

Streets around the White House have reopened after authorities cleared a vehicle that had been considered suspicious.

The vehicle was checked out and officials determined it to be safe, Secret Service spokesman Max Milien said.

The vehicle had led authorities to close Pennsylvania Avenue between 17th and 18th streets, as well as on 17th Street between F and H streets.

Local and federal officials responded as a precaution.
