Pepco Apologizes to Customers in WaPo

If you were one of thousands of Pepco customers who lost power during winter storms, Pepco officials say they're sorry.

Pepco apologized in a full-page ad in the Washington Post for the latest outages from the winter storm.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced… We regret that we are not meeting your expectations… We will not make excuses. We will make improvements, " wrote Joseph Rigby, President and CEO of Pepco.
 
The apology came one day before Pepco representatives and other power companies will testify before a Maryland house committee.
 
Maryland lawmakers will hold a hearing in Annapolis to find out why so many customers were left in the dark for as many as five days.
