An arsonist set fire to two vehicles used by the Deputy City Administrator of Laurel, authorities said.

Someone poured gas all over the personal and city-issued vehicles of the administrator, according to Laurel Police.  The crime happened right in front of the victim's home early Saturday morning.

During the incident, investigators believe the person or persons responsible were likely burned, and may seek medical attention.  Witnesses said they saw someone running from the scene, taking off their clothes.

The city's police chief, Richard McLaughlin, is asking the public for any information about the crime.  The Laurel Police are offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest. If you have any information on the arson incident, contact the Laurel Police Department at 301-498-0092.
