WASHINGTON -- The Obamas may be making enemies of some parents at Sidwell Friends School.

Hoping for Clintonian-sized donations for a silent auction supporting financial aid, a source with ties to Sidwell told MSNBC.com that all the school got from the first family were a couple of old, vandalized magazines: signed copies of the Rolling Stone that featured President Barack Obama and a Vogue that featured Michelle Obama.

The Clintons set a higher bar when Chelsea was at Sidwell, Courtney Hazlett reported. Chelsea offered to baby sit for the highest bidder, and a round of golf with Bill in 1996 almost pulled in six figures for the school.

An Obama spokesman offered no comment to MSNBC.com.

Clearly, the Obamas need no dollars for their Sidwell scholars, Sasha and Malia. Book sales spiked by the president's political career have the Obamas pulling in millions of dollars a year.
