A Maryland man said he fatally stabbed a 95-year-old neighbor in response to alleged unwelcome sexual advances, according to Montgomery County Police.
Eric S. Dyson, 60, was arrested late Tuesday night after an apartment community employee saw him parking the car of 95-year-old Dan Belvin, who had been found dead Monday afternoon. Police say Dyson had charged more than $5,000 on the victim's cards.
Police say that during questioning, Dyson claimed that he'd offered sexual favors to the victim in exchange for using his car and money. Dyson also allegedly said he stabbed Belvin in response to unwelcome sexual advances, authorities said.
Dyson and Belvin were both residents of the Randolph Village apartments, a senior living facility in Colesville, Maryland. Dyson was found dead in his home there after a friend became concerned after not hearing from him. The building's property manager found his body.
Belvin appeared to have "multiple sharp force injuries" to his upper body, according to charging documents.
Authorities said Belvin was last known to be alive Feb. 19.
That day, his card was used at a convenience store near Randolph Village. Over the next four days, one of his credit cards was used at several locations.

Dyson, who lives at the same facility, was captured on store video surveillance using the cards and ran up a total of $5,532.39, according to charging documents. He also had Belvin's identification, authorities say.
Police say Belvin's cellphone log showed several calls from Dyson on Feb. 19, the last day Belvin is known to have been alive. A phone message from Navy Federal Credit Union inquired about suspicious activity on Belvin's bank card.
No defense attorney was listed for Dyson in court records.
Dyson is charged with first-degree murder, credit card theft and fraud charges, and auto theft.
Belvin was a retired Navy officer. U.S. military records show he served during World War II and the Korean War, The Washington Post reported.
