Human remains discovered in Stafford County have been identified as those of a man reported missing in 2011.
The preliminary autopsy report and sheriff’s investigation indicate that 45-year-old Timothy R. Wait's death didn't result from foul play.
Wait's remains were found Dec. 31 by two juveniles in a wooded area off U.S. 17.
Wait was last seen in North Stafford on May 10, 2011, after a disagreement with his wife, according to the sheriff’s office. She reported him missing two days later.
