Delays on Metro's Orange Line After Man Struck by Train

Metro's Orange Line experienced delays in both directions Thursday evening after a man was struck by a train at the Minnesota Avenue station, Metro said.

Trains were single-tracking between the Stadium-Armory and Cheverley stations about 8:30 p.m.

At 10:30 p.m. trains were no longer single-tracking, Metro said. Some delays remain.

D.C. Fire and EMS said the person struck has been rescued and has non-life threatening injuries.

According to Metro, a man in a wheelchair intentionally rolled himself onto the tracks from the platform.
