A triple shooting in Northwest D.C. claimed the life of a young woman.

Police received reports of gunshots in the area of Sherman Avenue and Columbia Road N.W. around 7 p.m. Saturday.

When they arrived on the scene, they found an 18-year-old woman with gunshot wounds, in front of her home in the 3000 block of Sherman Avenue. The victim died at the scene. Police have identified her as Lucki Nancy Pannell.

Two other shooting victims were found nearby, in the 700 block of Harvard Street N.W.  Authorities said they believe the two had fled there after being attacked, together with Pannell, on Sherman Avenue.
