D.C.'s mayor says she's running for a second term.
Mayor Muriel Bowser announced her reelection efforts on social media Friday.
"Today I'm asking you for your support for four more years," she said on Twitter, along with a video campaign ad.
In the ad, Bowser says her administration has made progress in education, public safety and affordable housing.
"We're promoting and defending D.C. values. To put it bluntly, D.C. is winning. Our revenues are up while realizing across the board tax cuts. Our families are choosing our public schools. Our neighborhoods are safer and stronger," she said.
