85-Year-Old Man Missing From Silver Spring Found Safe

    UPDATE: Glenn Thornton has been located unharmed. Police say a citizen saw his truck in Howard County and contacted police after a Silver Alert was broadcast.


    ORIGINAL STORY: Montgomery County Police are asking the public's help in finding an 85-year-old man last seen in Beltsville around 12:45 p.m. Friday.

    The family of Glenn Eldon Thornton, of Silver Spring, is concerned for his welfare because he has short term memory loss and a heart ailment.

    Thornton is described as a white male, 5'9" and about 185 pounds. He has gray hair and was last seen wearing a tan jacket and a tan USMC baseball cap.

    He was last last seen in the 12300 block of Kiln Court in Beltsville, driving a 2007 Ford F-150 pickup truck with an extended cab and a cap over the bed.
