Seven Anne Arundel County, Md., schools will remain closed Thursday because of Hurricane Irene.
These schools still lack power:
- Arlington Echo
- Crofton Woods Elementary
- Glen Burnie Park Elementary
- Marley Glen Special School
- Maryland City Elementary
- Overlook Elementary
- Solley Elementary
Essential and emergency workers should report to work, though.
Anne Arundel County parents of students at the open schools who are taking their children to school or bus stops should allow extra time to get them there because of hurricane-damage-related traffic delays and traffic light outages.
The rest of the schools in the district are open Thursday.
