A local McDonald's is among the first in the country to roll out the new, healthier Happy Meals.
On Friday, the McDonald's on Wisconsin Avenue N.W. at Van Ness Street started serving the healthier Happy Meal. It automatically includes apple slices and a smaller size of french fries in each Happy Meal.
Kids will also get new beverage choices that include fat-free chocolate milk and one-percent plain milk.
