A parenting group compiles a list of 50 toys for kids of various ages that help them understand their world and improve their basic skills.

When it comes to toys, most parents are looking for high quality and low prices. 

No one wants to pay a lot of money for a toy that kids will lose interest in after a few minutes. 

The National Parenting Publications Awards has compiled a list of 50 award winning toys the group says kids will love.

The list is detailed in this month's issue of Washington Parent magazine.
