D.C. Restaurant Week's summer edition is coming up!
More than 200 restaurants will participate in the event between between Aug. 11 and Aug. 17, offering prix-fixe lunches for $20.14 and dinners for $35.14.
The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) organizes the annual event that encourages both locals and tourists to try eating at new places throughout the city. It's a good idea to book your table in advance to make sure you get a spot; the RAMW site lists menus and links out to the OpenTable.com reservation site.
Several of the participating restaurants were also recipients of 2014 RAMMY Awards, which celebrate the best food in the region across several categories.
The winners were announced in June and some of those who are participating in D.C. Restaurant Week 2014 are Fiola, which won Best Fine Dining; Birch and Barley, which won Best Beer Program; and 2941 Restaurant, whose chef Caitlin Dysart won Best Pastry Chef.
