Jimmy Fallon made good on his promise and bought a truck from the winner of his "Fingers on a 4X4" competition on "The Tonight Show."
Pete Porzio of Tinley Park, Ill., kept his hand on a Ford F150 at the U.S.S. Intrepid on the Hudson River in New York for 38 hours, 52 minutes.
Fallon asked him if he was starting to get loopy while standing by the truck.
"There's no doubt we were losing it mentally," Porzio said. "Funny thing is I'm really not a late night person to be honest with you. I go to work, I come home, and I pretty much go to bed."
"You watch the 'Tonight Show', then you go to bed right right?" Fallon joked.
Fallon asked what Porzio did after winning the competition.
"I got into a limousine, and talked to a few of the people from Ford over a beverage or two, um…"
"You got hammered and passed out, just say it," Fallon said.
Then Fallon asked Porzio to give him his best sales pitch. After boasting the tech-friendliness of the truck, Fallon signed the papers and became the owner of a new Ford F150.
Fallon also had a surprise for the Ford sales consultant: country singer and Ford spokesperson Toby Keith sang a song to Porzio in a video message to celebrate the sale.
