    Stafford County Cleaning Up After Major Flooding

    Falmouth Park in Stafford County has been off-limits for weeks after heavy rain and flooding left the park full of mud and debris. Crews have been carting it all away by the truck-load. Now, the county is nervously watching the forecast hoping this next set of rain doesn't wash away all of their progress. News4's Julie Carey reports. (Published Friday, Aug. 3, 2018)

    Flood warnings are in effect for some parts of the region as hot, humid conditions settle in.

    Some counties in Maryland and Northern Virginia are under flood warnings that will stick around into Saturday afternoon. See all weather alerts here.

    You may see a stray shower during Saturday afternoon, but you can probably leave the umbrella at home, visiting meteorologist Brittany Shipp says.

    The sun is expected to break out and bring heat. The weekend will be hot and humid with temperatures reaching the mid to upper 80s on Saturday and about 90 degrees on Sunday.

    Montgomery County issued an alert for Sunday afternoon until evening as the heat index is expected to be above 95 degrees.

    Storm Team4 is tracking a possible heat wave that may bring several days of temperatures in the 90s.
