Severe Thunderstorms Move Through DC Region

    A severe thunderstorm warning was in effect for parts of Virginia on Thursday.

    Storm Team4 declared Thursday a Weather Alert Day. 

    The rain has moved out of the area as of about 7:30 p.m. 

    On Friday, expect a high of 81 degrees and clear skies. On Saturday, it will be even hotter, with a high of 93. There's a chance of an isolated storm.

    On Sunday -- Mother's Day -- there's a 50 percent chance of showers. Then the chance of storms continues into next week.
