From the group that brought you Agraria comes a new farm-to-table concept, Founding Farmers. Fresh and healthy products are the main focus of the restaurant, which opened this past September.
The restaurant was created to “promote the products and services of family farms, ranches, and fisheries.” Executive Chef Graham Duncan is responsible for preparing the seasonal meals that are available on the diverse menu.
Founding Farmers offers specialty breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Enjoy classic dishes from the Rustic Chicken Pot Pie to Ricotta Ravioli and try the Campfire Smore Pudding for dessert. An extensive wine list, in addition to organic beers and classic cocktails, is available to match the American fare. You can also add this to your Sunday brunch options.
The Washington newcomer boasts an impressive ambiance. The first floor, which includes the main dining room and a bar area, offers patrons with great views of Pennsylvania Ave. Check out the upper level if you want a quieter experience. The stylish, but comfortable seems to keep people coming back for more.
Founding Farmers gets the eco-friendly seal of approval by fulfilling the requirements to qualify as a Certified Green Restaurant. Everything from the food to the décor can be considered “green”.
The restaurant is located inside the International Monetary Fund building next to the Farragut West Metro station.
