See D.C. a Different Way

Tour D.C. on Foot and Bike

Want to get to know your city a little better? Put on your comfy shoes because Cultural Tourism DC is hosting WalkingTown DC and BikingTown DC on September 25 and 26.

Participants can spend the weekend touring D.C. And the best part: even the District's infamous traffic won't put a damper on these plans.

The event gives residents a chance to explore and celebrate Washington, D.C.’s culture and history with more than 100 free, guided walking and biking tours. Take a bike tour of the green buildings around the city, or explore the history of Walter Reed. There are tours offered in all eight wards of the city, so no neighborhood is left behind.

All you need to enjoy the city is a pair of sneakers or a bike. Even those without a bike can join in the fun. Bike and Roll Washington, D.C. is offering discounts on bike rentals for $15.

Many of tours are walk-up but the majority requires online reservations.
