Obama Girl's in a D.C. State of Mind

But her crush on the president seems to be fading

Good news for those of you who are tired of hearing New York's ode to self-centeredness in Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' "Empire State of Mind." D.C. now has an anthem of its own.

Kinda.

Obama Girl, also known as Amber Lee Ettinger, also known as the woman who shot to YouTube stardom with her "Crush on Obama" video in 2007, is following up with "D.C. State of Mind." Only this time, she's traded her bikini for sunglasses and a Keys-inspired outfit. (For the record, we have no idea who the fake Obama is.)

"D.C. State of Mind" includes such gems as, "Yeah I'm the new Clinton / But without the cheating / I do that to Michelle / She'd throw me a beating."

There's even a nod to the District's famously inscrutable layout:

"In D.C. / These lettered streets will confuse you / Fox News will abuse you."

While we feel vindicted that Obama Girl shares our navigational challenges, we're equally perplexed by the decision not to shoot the video on location. Superimposing the White House in the background DOES NOT COUNT.

Anyway, a new NBC News / Wall Street Journal poll puts President Obama's support at 50 percent, down from a high of 74 percent when he took office. And since art imitates life, the new video includes this gem of a line from Fauxbama:

"I'm still popular / But my support is waning / Running the country / Is harder than campaigning."

And say it ain't so! Even the president's biggest fan seems to be changing her mind. Obama Girl tells the New York Post that her crush is running its course.

"I think he's doing an OK job," she told the Post. "I know he's getting a lot of flak for things that he's not doing. In my opinion, I feel like he should be focusing a lot more on jobs and the economy."

In fact, she's giving President a B minus for his first year in office.
