The latest weather forecast calls for accumulations of thick, heavy snow to accumulate across the D.C. metro area Wednesday night.

Bad for shoveling, great for snow ball throwing.

The call has gone out online for a snowball showdown tonight, at the center of Dupont Circle.

A Facebook group called "Washington DC Snowball Fight Association" wants you there at 8 p.m. Wednesday, ready for a throw-down.

Dupont Circle is the site of last year's epic snow wars, when hundreds took up snowballs and started tossing.

Just how many snowballs worth of snow will fall remains to be seen, but all signs point to a decent accumulation.  Which means if you are walking through Dupont Circle Wednesday night, be prepared to defend yourself.
