Congressional Walk of Shame?

Two Congresswomen show up in yesterday's clothes

Do some members of Congress have extracurricular activities they're not trying hard enough to hide?

Roll Call's Heard on the Hill blog reports:

"[Rep. Michele] Bachmann (R-Minn.) appeared in the chamber sporting a sleeveless top with bold trim along the neckline, which, in the buttoned-up world of Congress, would be noteworthy enough. But here’s the eyebrow-raising part: The top appeared to be the exact same one she wore on the House floor late the night before."

But Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) was spotted wearing the same aqua blazer Monday night AND Tuesday morning, reports Politico. Congressmen who wear the same black suit every day must find it MUCH easier to go incognito after a late night.

Maybe everything else was dirty? Maybe they got trapped under a huge fallen pile of newspapers and freed themselves just moments before the morning's session began? Maybe they were stranded in their offices overnight by a sudden onset of narcolepsy?

We're going to have to watch this situation as it develops.
