Workers showed up in Old Town Alexandria on Friday morning to start putting together sandbags. It’s an area that’s prone to flooding. News4’s Dominique Moody reports.

As Ian travels north, it could bring heavy rain and some minor coastal flooding to parts of Southern Maryland. News4’s Megan McGrath talked to people in low-lying areas in Calvert and Saint Mary’s counties about precautions they’re taking.

Projects including new bridges and transit lines are in the works for St. Mary’s, Charles and Calvert counties. News4’s Adam Tuss reports.
