One person has died and one is injured after being shot at the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) carnival Friday night, the St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Office said.

Two people were shot at a volunteer fire department’s carnival in Hollywood, Maryland, according to St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.

Mardi Gras 2022 is officially over, and New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell called the celebration a success, after the 2021 celebrations were cancelled due to COVID-19.

Miya Marcano, the 19-year-old South Florida woman who disappeared and whose body was found in Orlando a week later, will be laid to rest this coming week.
