The 141st edition of the US Open Tennis Championships is just around the corner.

The hardcourt tennis tournament begins on Monday, August 30, and ends on Sunday, September 12. The 2020 edition was played without fans due to COVID-19. Even as the pandemic rages on, many sports venues around the United States have returned to full capacity. That includes the US Open, which is allowing 100 percent fan capacity for the 2021 edition.

Players will compete in the Grand Slam event for a winning prize of over $3 million for both the men's and women's tournament. The runner-up will receive $1.5 million. Advancing to the Round of 32 earns a player $163,000, while players that make the Round of 64 will earn $100,000.

Here's everything you need to know about the US Open.
