WATCH: Bertans sets fire to the Suns with 3-point barrage originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
Davis Bertans entered the Wizards' matchup with Phoenix shooting 32.5% from three, so at some point you had to figure a storm was coming. Unfortunately for the Suns, it came raining down all over them Monday night.
Bertans hit his first five threes of the game and each make was more ridiculous than the one that came before it.
Bertans's slow start behind the arc could be attributed to a work visa issue that kept him out of the start of training camp.
The sharpshooter has said how he's still trying to get his legs under him, and based on this performance it looks like he's busting out of that slump. And in true "Latvian Laser" fashion, he broke out of his slump in the loudest way possible to help the Wizards build a 30-point lead over the Suns.
Tune in at 6 PM to NBC Sports Washington on Wednesday for complete coverage of the Wizards' next matchup with the Utah Jazz.
