WATCH: Corey Kispert's Nine Threes Vs. Virginia Showcased His Shooting Prowess

The Wizards used the 15th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft on Corey Kispert due in large part to his shooting prowess.

General manager Tommy Sheppard called Kispert the best shooter in the draft on several occasions Thursday night, and Kispert should be able to fill the Wizards' need for floor spacers right away next season.

During his career at Gonzaga, there's no game that shows just how good a shooter Kispert is than when he torched Virginia for nine triples last season.

Kispert went off for 32 points against the Cavaliers early in the year, hitting 9-of-13 3-point attempts while going 11-for-15 overall. The Bulldogs ultimately crushed Virginia 98-75 to improve to 7-0 on the season.

What sticks out when watching this particular game from Kispert isn't just the barrage of threes he hits, but the variety in which he can get knock down shots from deep. He can do it off the dribble in pick-and-roll, coming off screens and spotting up.

And when Kispert gets it going, he can fill it up in a hurry, much like Davis Bertans has done in two seasons with the Wizards.

Washington was one of the worst 3-point shooting teams in the league last season and it contributed to their sub-.500 record and early exit from the playoffs. With Kispert now in the fold, they're taking significant steps to fixing that fatal flaw from the 2020-21 campaign.
