Rookie offensive tackle Sam Cosmi suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. He was ruled out for the remainder of the contest minutes later.

Cosmi was replaced by veteran Cornelius Lucas, who started eight games for Washington last season.
The 51st overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Cosmi has started all five games for Washington thus far in 2021. The rookie has been a solid addition for Washington this season, as he's graded out as the 13th best tackle in all of football, according to Pro Football Focus.
