Orioles first baseman Trey Mancini continues to be one of the biggest inspirations in baseball after returning from a year fighting colon cancer.

His recovery process has been followed closely by every Orioles fan, and the milestones in his return have been celebrated across the league. Simply by playing this season, he is already a heavy favorite to be MLB Comeback Player of the Year.

In addition to battling cancer on his own, Mancini has also served as inspiration for countless fans across the country who are undergoing treatment as well.

One such fan had a friend at Wednesday's game against the Marlins, and that friend appealed to Mancini and the Orioles to give a little gift.

"Hey Trey, my friend Brad is going through chemo + surgery for his colon cancer this week," the friend's note read. "Would you please sign a ball to Brad for some extra encouragement? You're the best!"

Unsurprisingly, Mancini was quick to oblige, further proving that he really is, in fact, the best.
