SEE IT: Ryan Zimmerman Hits Yet Another Spring Training Home Run

Ryan Zimmerman is back at it.

The Washington Nationals are only three games into their spring training schedule, but Zimmerman has already lit up the scoreboard. He hadย already homered once this week, butย decided one home run wasnโ€™t enoughโ€”and that right field should get some love, too.

With runners on first and second and the score tied 1-1 in the fifth inning, he smacked an opposite-field home run on Thursday vs. the New York Mets in Port St. Lucie, Fla. Take a look:

โ€˜Mr. Nationalโ€™sโ€™ latest dinger comes two days removed from him obliterating a home run in his first appearance in 356 days on Monday. In what ended up being a 7-6 loss to the Houston Astros, Zimmerman hit one of what would be three homers in an inning for the Nats.

Zimmerman, drafted No. 4 overall by the Nationals back in 2005, has long been a proponent of shorter spring trainings. He's never felt he needed many at-bats to be ready for a season. But after sitting out 2020 due to coronavirus concerns, he is back and off to a quick start in Florida. ย
