Durant signed with the Nets in a sign-and-trade deal that sent guard D'Angelo Russell to Golden State, before Russell was traded to the Timberwolves for Andrew Wiggins. After 18 months of rehabilitation and rest, Durant is set to play with his new star teammate Kyrie Irving as the power duo looks to make their mark on the Eastern Conference.

Irving, who also signed as a free agent with Brooklyn last offseason, has played just 20 games for the Nets due to right shoulder issues.

Durant's former Thunder teammate and Washington's marquee new star, Russell Westbrook, is sitting out of the Wizards' first preseason game.
