The Washington Wizards are signing guard Brad Wanamaker to a 10-day hardship deal, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Washington’s move comes on the heels of a roster decimation due to COVID-19 protocols as Bradley Beal and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, among others, were sidelined this week.
Wanamaker appeared in 22 games for the Pacers this season before getting waived, averaging 3.5 points in just over 13 minutes per game. He is a career 42.1% field goal shooter. Wanamaker had a rather bland three-month stint in Indiana as a placeholder for the Pacers as they dealt with injuries to their backcourt.
Wanamaker, 32, is in just his fourth NBA season. He has played in Europe and the G-League since his college career at Pittsburgh ended. He first landed in the NBA in 2018 when the Boston Celtics signed him to a one-year deal. Since then, he’s made stops in Charlotte, Golden State, Indiana and now Washington.
Wanamaker’s best season was his lone campaign as a Hornet, when he averaged 6.9 points and 3.4 assists in 22 games. Wanamaker will hope to bolster Washington’s backcourt as the team tries to grapple with multiple COVID absences.
Washington will take the court at home against Cleveland on Thursday. Cavalier guard Ricky Rubio, who Wanamaker would likely have to guard for some portion of the game, was just revealed to have torn his ACL and is out for the season, adding to other injury and COVID woes for Cleveland.
