Report: LeBron James Vs. Luka Doncic Headlines Tentative NBA Christmas Schedule

Report: LeBron-Luka headlines tentative NBA Christmas schedule originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

LeBron James and his defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers will host Luka Doncic's Dallas Mavericks at 8 p.m., according to a tentative Christmas Day schedule reported Tuesday by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The holiday schedule includes a Golden State Warriors-Milwaukee Bucks matchup at 2:30 p.m., a time slot primed for both coasts to leisurely enjoy a game that promises to bring some eye-catching highlights. Even without the injured Klay Thompson, a Steph Curry-Giannis Antetokounmpo showdown is absolutely must-watch television.

Before that, the NBA championship runners-up in Miami will take on Zion Williamson and the Pelicans at noon eastern time. Then, Kyrie Irving will get a chance to dazzle against his former Celtics as Kevin Durant and the Nets will look to make a name for themselves this season.

While there won't be a battle of Los Angeles on Christmas this year, James will be playing in his 20th Christmas Day game. Nikola Jokic's Nuggets will host the Clippers after overcoming a 3-1 deficit to advance to the Western Conference Finals last season.

The Wizards haven't played in a Christmas Day game since 2017, when John Wall's 21 points and 14 assists led them to a win over Boston.
