Satoransky was selected by his fellow Czech Olympians alongside two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova.
The 29-year-old Chicago Bulls star helped the team reach the Olympics for the first time, winning MVP at the Qualifiers of Victoria, Canada. In 2019, the five-time Czech Player of the Year helped the country to its first FIBA World Cup appearance.
Satoransky was drafted in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft by the Wizards, where he played for three seasons after a stint in Spain. He was traded to the Bulls in 2019.
Satoransky and the Czech national basketball team will tip off against Iran in Group A on Saturday.
